Pometon at WorldPM2026 | Canada
Pometon flies to Canada to take part in WorldPM2026, the conference organized by the Metal Powder Industries Federation, of which Pometon is a member.
The event dedicated to powder metallurgy and metal additive manufacturing will be held from June 25th to 29th in Montreal, an important opportunity to get in touch with overseas players.
The conference will include technical sessions to delve into cutting-edge technologies and innovative practices in the sector, as well as an exhibition part.
Ivan Lorenzon, Pometon R&D Director, will present a case study entitled: “A Novel Powder Recycling Route for Additive Manufacturing: From Used Metal Powders to New and Composite Feedstock via Vacuum Sintering and EIGA process”.
Recycling metal powders, particularly reactive metals such as titanium and its alloys, remains one of the most pressing and challenging issues in additive manufacturing.
Traditional recovery methods are technically demanding, expensive, and often lead to oxidation, making the reuse of powders impractical at industrial scale.
This work introduces an innovative route to transform used or out of specification, in terms of particle size distribution, metal powders into high-quality feedstock suitable for additive manufacturing.
