Electrolytic copper powder

Copper Electrolitic powder (Not reduced)

Process: electrolysis of raw copper, sieving
Composition: minimum copper content of 99.5 / 99.7%
Apparent density: 0.65 g / cm3 up to 2.20 g / cm3
Particle shape: dendritic (extremely high specific surface)
Particle size distribution: 150 to 32 microns

Product families

Copper Cu EL/LN/LP/LT
High purity copper powder with highest dendritic shape
Description of the material and main chemical components

High purity copper powder with highest dendritic shape

Description of the manufacturing process

Powder from electrolytic processing starting from qualified raw material, sieving, (possible) mechanical treatment

Typical applications

Metallurgical corrections, diamond tools, friction, chemical, ferrous and non ferrous sintering, jewellery, carbon brushes

Particle shape

Highly dendritic

Main characteristic

Characterised by high purity of content, and high specific surface of powder with good reactivity to most uses. They are used in Diamond tools and frictions to control heating flow and friction rates, best choice in carbon brushes. Broadly used as filler in industrial lubricants.

Particle upper cut size (full range)

45 to 215

Particle upper cut size (typical)

45 to 106

Apparent density (typical)

0,70 to 2,20

Application notes

To improve flowability and reduce dust effect a small quantity of lubricant is normally added. Powder tends to get oxidised if stored for long.
