Pometon at PowderMet2025 | USA

Pometon flies to the United States, in Arizona, to take part in PowderMet2025, the conference organized by the Metal Powder Industries Federation, of which Pometon is a member.

The event dedicated to powder metallurgy and metal additive manufacturing will be held from June 15th to 18th in Phoenix, an important opportunity to get in touch with overseas players.

The conference will include technical sessions to delve into cutting-edge technologies and innovative practices in the sector, as well as an exhibition part.

Ivan Lorenzon, Pometon R&D Director, will present a case study entitled: “New developments on the formulation and post-processing of pure copper premixes for the production of parts for e-vehicles and electronic applications”.

The use of copper in PM applications is often associated with its conductivity characteristics, having strong mechanical strength for its ductility.
With the increase in the production of electronic devices and above all in the automotive sector, undergoing a major reorganization due to the massive electrification of its entire sector, the demand and future use of conductive elements will be important.

This study aims to highlight the possibility of creating sintered copper components, with good conductivity characteristics, and therefore using the “press and sintering” technology to create a hybrid solution that allows atomized copper and electrolytic copper to interact in order to optimize the conductivity of the material as much as possible.
