Last Friday, the traditional Christmas lunch was held in the Pometon Headquarters of Maerne di Martellago.
This year the party was attended by the Mayor of Martellago, Andrea Saccarola, the deputy mayor, Alberto Ferri, and councillor Franco Bragazzo. A special moment for the Company and the City, dedicated in particular to seven employees who will retire.
The tradition is maintained and enriched. As every year, in fact, the Christmas greeting lunch was held in Pometon, enriched by an attention dedicated to faithful collaborators who, having reached retirement age, leave the Company. A greeting of recognition and thanks, celebrated with a commemorative gift and dedicated to each of them: Maurizi Checchin (16 years in Pometon), Antonella Rizzato (34 years), Michele Stevanato (36), Maurizio Spolaore (37 years), Paolo Zupperdoni (38 years), Paolo Cecchinato (39 years), Mauro Ceolin (40 years).
A close and trusting relationship between the Company and its team, as a testimony of the average stay in Pometon of over 34 years. A reference presence for the territory that Pometon has been able to establish with its employees over time and that the presence of the Mayor, the Vice Mayor and the Councilor have certified, giving greater participation to the day.
Pometon, a company founded in 1940, is today the largest European producer of electrolytic and water-atomized copper powders, and is the only one on the market with skills and plants to retain its customers on different applications, producing, with different systems, ferrous, non-ferrous powders and stainless steel grits. The headquarters based in Maerne, Venice, controls three Pometon subsidiaries in Europe (United Kingdom, Spain and Germany) and two in Asia (India and Turkey), a second production site in Serbia for electrolytic copper, as well as a worldwide network of agents and distributors. The most important markets for Pometon are the automotive market for the sintering of mechanical components and for the production of brake pads and clutch, the chemical market where powders are used for catalysts and dyes and the construction market where the powders are used for diamond tools. Pometon, which today works with all the major automotive brands and the best players in the chemical industry (ISO 9001: 2015, ISO 14001: 2015, BS OHSAS 18001: 2007), is expanding, acquiring new customers in the aerospace sector and in that of electronics. The Pometon R&D department works in collaboration with the most important Italian and international Universities and is therefore able to produce special powders and guarantee uniform quality over time.
